We all use aluminum foil in the kitchen, for cooking, packaging, and we often use it to treat some common ailments. Yet a recent study revealed that there are some important things we do not know about this product that we use in our kitchens.

 According to medical experts : exposure to this heavy metal could cause long-term adverse effects, including mental decline and loss of balance, memory, coordination and body control.

This study revealed that cooking with aluminum foil affects the bones, as aluminum accumulates inside the bones and takes calcium space, reducing its levels. In addition, researchers associated cooking with aluminum foil to pulmonary fibrosis and other respiratory problems, following the inhalation of aluminum particles. The same effects are obtained in the case of roasting with aluminum.

Dr. Essam Zubaidy, a chemistry researcher at the American University of Echariquah, assessed the effects of aluminum in the kitchen and found that a meal cooked in aluminum foil may include up to 400mg Aluminum!

This means that "the higher the temperature, the larger the heavy metal inlay. The metal sheet is therefore not suitable for cooking or for use with vegetables such as tomatoes, citrus juices or spices.

According to the World Health Organization (O M S), the recommended daily dose (D J R) for aluminum is limited to 60 mg per day.
